About Flag Game
Flag Game is an active-recall geography game in which you identify a flag by completing its country name. There are no multiple-choice answers to narrow the choice, so every correct response strengthens the direct connection between a flag and its country.
The six-level structure gradually removes more letters from every country-name hint. Focus on distinctive symbols first, use the remaining letters carefully, and replay until names that once felt difficult become automatic.
There are currently 193 UN Member States.
The commonly used total of 195 also includes the two UN non-member observer states.

How can you complete country names faster?
Complete country names faster by combining the visible letter pattern with distinctive colors, symbols, and flag layouts.
- 1
Read the visible letter pattern
Use word length, spaces, hyphens, and the letters already shown to narrow the country before filling any blank.
- 2
Check distinctive flag details
Look for crosses, stars, coats of arms, stripe direction, and unusual color combinations that identify a country quickly.
- 3
Solve multiword names one word at a time
For longer names, match the shortest or most recognizable word first, then use it to confirm the remaining words.
- 4
Study every revealed answer
When an answer is incorrect, read the completed country name before the next flag so the same design is easier to recall later.
Frequently asked questions
To play Flag Game, identify the national flag and fill only the missing letters in the country name beneath it. The cursor starts on the first underlined letter, and each character you enter moves it to the next blank automatically. Press Enter or select Submit when every blank is filled, then review the feedback before the next flag appears.
Flag Game has six levels drawn from a pool of 193 national flags. Levels one through four contain 16 questions each, while levels five and six contain 20 questions each. Level one hides one letter in every country name, and each new level hides one more until level six hides six letters.
No. Only type the letters missing from the underlined positions; the rest of the country name remains visible and cannot be edited. The cursor advances after each character, while Backspace returns to the previous blank if you need to correct it. On phones and tablets, the game uses your device's regular keyboard.
A wrong answer uses one of the three mistakes available in each level. Your entered letters remain visible so you can review the mistake, while the result message shows the correct country name. Using the third mistake ends that level, but you can retry it with a fresh selection of flags.
